What is Search Engine Optimization

Before asking you going ahead to read the blog let me tell what is SEO about.

In a generic way SEO is defined as any technique helping our site to rank better for a certain group of keywords and, as consequence, increasing the traffic to our site.

I also like to include any other disciplines helping users to reach to objective of the site the easiest way, no matter which are the site objectives, selling goods or services, subscriptions, content distribution or so.

  • How we can measure the impact, success or failure of any SEO action?
Web analytics purpose is understanding and optimizing web usage
  • Information architecture (IA) is all about the right structural design of shared information environments, a web site in this case
  • Usability (UX) usually refers to the elegance and clarity with the interaction with a web site is designed. Make my visit to your site a pleasant experience and I'll love it
  • Human beings are intrinsically, necessarily and by definition social beings so digital communications and Social media is here to stay

Although SEO takes in consideration a lot of different factors influencing the benefit of a campaign, none of then is highly relevant. This is the reason why we have to pay attention to all of them. The sum of these little factors can make the difference when competition is really hard.
